PPL ( Private Pilot )
Here are the requirements to obtain your private pilot license:
- Minimum age for solo flight is 16
- Minimum age of 17 to obtain your PPL
- Current US Passport, or Birth Certificate and Government issued ID
- Third class medical certificate or better
- Pass FAA Knowledge Test
- Minimum of 40 hours flight time including 20 hours with an instructor
- 3 hours night time Instruction including 1 cross country more than 100 nautical miles as well as 10 take offs and landings at night to a full stop.
- 10 hours solo flight time including 5 hours cross country (distance of more than 50 nautical miles) and 1 cross country flight more than 150 nautical miles
- Pass an oral exam and practical test (check ride) with a FAA Examiner
